Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico in a family who loved music. She spent the majority of her early years listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs along with old classical pieces. Ana is a fan of tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any theatrical performance. She began singing and learning songs with her mother and commenced more serious singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in classical Latin American music at private performances. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to various community-based projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a past part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Chorale for the permission to sing the traditional Latin American song.
